The following manifesto was written by an anonymous user shortly after a CC0 generator by Dmitri Cherniak was released.
It was originally presented as a simple experiment, a generator for a low effort 10k PFP project using geese. Over time the generator took on a larger role when the idea of a free and fair Goose PFP collection found its home on Bitcoin through a first-is-first mint.
The generator itself was introduced as part of the MoMA Postcard initiative organized by The Museum of Modern Art. MoMA Postcard was a global community project and an experiment in collective creativity on blockchain inviting artists and participants across web3 to collaborate, learn and experiment with emerging technologies.
What began as a playful and open experiment eventually became the source material for a collection that would be inscribed on Bitcoin preserving the images and the moment as part of the chain’s cultural record.
Within that context the project was described simply as Goose Generator by Dmitri Cherniak.
